Equine Ortho-Bionomy Intensive

Join us in beautiful Ocala Florida for a week of equine bodywork.
Sunday - 11/10/24 through Saturday - 11/16/24 
This work is based on Osteopathy, which means treating the whole horse.
Participants will learn a multitude of release positions to encourage soft tissue (muscles/tendons) to release tension. 
You will be shown release positions via demonstrations then you will have time to practice on safe, gentle horses. We will also discuss injury/compensation patterns and how to release and re-educate the horse’s body. This work is gentle, noninvasive yet very powerful.
Cost: $2500 includes housing and meals /  $1500 – Course work only

 

Schedule for the week:

Day 1. Musculoskeletal anatomy, conformation vs posture.

Day 2. Ortho-Bionomy releases for shoulders/front legs

Day 3. Ribs and pelvis

Day 4. Thoracic spine and lumbar area.

Day 5. Cervical spine / Neck

Day 6. Feet, fascia and massage

Day 7. Exclusive information!! The Acuscan process

The Acuscan. The process a veterinarian who does acupuncture does using specific acupoints to evaluate dysfunction in horse.

This is a tremendous amount of very useful information!

Participants will be given handouts for each segment of the class. Lots of time is given to demonstrations and practice time.

For those needing accommodations, a beautiful Airbnb in Citra is rented. We will be having class in this location as well. The meals to be catered by a local catering company.

Please dress appropriately for working with horses. Bring a jacket/hat/ raincoat/sunscreen/bug spray.
